Umetoku’s original surface treatment
Similar to heat treatment, we introduced gas nitrocarburizing technology at an early stage. It also supports plasma nitriding and environmentally friendly processing is possible.
In addition, excellent nitriding treatment is possible by optimizing internal stress with vacuum technology in heat treatment.
We also offer a wide variety of nitriding products and provide “Unicoat® A”, which is normal gas nitrocarburizing, and “Unicoat® S”, which has a soft sulfide layer on the top of surface to suppress the damage of the mold by reducing the coefficient of friction, and so on.
Furthermore, by optimizing the processing conditions and examining the gas composition in detail, “Unicoat® P”, which is the gas nitrocarburizing without a compound layer for heat crack resistance improvement, is very popular especially in die casting dies and precision forging dies.
